As the host of the Saloon, Wei He led the sharing session with the fellow artists. Wei He's work, The Cocoon, represents a stage of confusion - between a worm and a butterfly, and also life and death. Wanjun Bai's work, The Pond, was an idea derived from traditional Chinese ink paintings. Woods Bagot's work, Lightscape, originated from the ancient myth "Qua Fu, the sun-chaser". Utilizing hanging motion sensors, light beams guided visitors' footsteps. Ke Wang's work, Light Carpet, sets the lamps in the field and within the grass, creating a grand piece of patterned carpet. Jun Lai's Memorable Flowers was created by 500 lighted flowers using CD-ROMs, acrylic, and LED lamps. Lai presented his creation process through a moving video.
After the saloon, preceded by the "Switch-On Beijing" opening cocktail the guests and audience visited Ditan Park and admired the crossover and integrated artworks of the creators.
